SCHOOL PROGRAM TEAM LEADERS

THE CHALLENGE SUCCESS TEAM LEADER

Welcome to the School Program. Over the course of the upcoming school year, you and your team will spearhead the process of making your school a healthier, more engaging environment for students.

As the leader of your Challenge Success team, you will work closely with your Challenge Success coach to maintain the integrity of your team and identify steps it can take to advance the work.

TEAM LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES

Leaders hold several important roles

ASSEMBLE a multi-stakeholder team that represents a diversity of perspectives

COORDINATE and uphold monthly team meetings

PARTNER with Challenge Success coach to plan and co-facilitate team meetings

MANAGE the timeline and execution of Challenge Success services (e.g., administering a survey, scheduling a professional development workshop)

COMMUNICATE with school community about your Challenge Success work

Additionally, team leaders are expected to join their team at the live Fall Conference and virtual Spring Conference.

  • Financial Intake Form

    Complete the financial intake form. Once we have this information, we will send an invoice to the listed parties.

    APRIL - SEPTEMBER
  • Team Recruitment

    Begin recruiting your Challenge Success team. During the spring and summer months, you will form your core Challenge Success Team. The 10 members on the team should include students, teachers, administrators, counselors, and parents that represent a diversity of perspectives. Team members can learn more about their role here.

  • Activity Planning

    Connect with your Challenge Success coach to begin scheduling your surveysin-person visitcoaching sessions, and presentations.

  • Conference Travel Planning

    Coordinate travel with your Challenge Success Team to the Fall Conference hosted in Stanford, CA on September 16-17 and in Waltham, MA on September 30-October 1. Ideally, all 10 members of your team will be able to join this day and a half event. Teams are responsible for travel and hotel costs. Find more information here.

  • Team Coaching Session

    Assemble your Challenge Success team for a pre-Fall Conference coaching session.

  • Fall Conference

    Attend the Fall Conference with your 10-person team. The conference will be held in Stanford, CA on September 16-17 and in Waltham, MA on September 30-October 1. More information here.

    SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER
  • Survey Administration

    Administer 2 of the 3 Challenge Success surveys to your community. You may choose the student, parent/guardian, and/or faculty and staff surveys.

  • Ongoing Team Coaching

    Your Challenge Success coach will help you continue to make progress on your change efforts through monthly virtual meetings with your team.

  • Onsite Coach Visit

    Your Challenge Success coach will travel to your campus to meet with the team. It is often during this visit that the coach will deliver a presentation to both the parent and faculty communities.

  • Ongoing Team Coaching

    Your Challenge Success coach will help you continue to make progress on your change efforts through monthly virtual meetings with your team.

    JANUARY - MAY
  • Spring Conference

    Attend the virtual Spring Conference with your team to reflect on your efforts and connect with other teams.

Consider how to message Challenge Success to your community. It’s important to communicate with your school community about your partnership with Challenge Success. Doing so can help galvanize stakeholders and generate buy-in for making policy and practice changes that promote student engagement and well-being.
