Although most students report “working hard” in school, few enjoy their schoolwork and find it valuable. What can educators do to increase motivation, joy, and deeper learning for students?
We know that students learn better and retain more information when they are genuinely engaged in classroom lessons. This workshop will examine the recent research behind student engagement and explore ways to rethink your curricula to foster deeper learning and increase student joy and motivation to learn.
Our interactive professional development workshops are designed for educators and families interested in learning practical, research-based strategies to broaden your community’s definition of success and improve student well-being and engagement with learning. Workshops are 60-90 minutes long, and our team can facilitate the workshops in-person, virtually, or through a pre-recorded video.

“I loved the break down of data for engagement (the ABCs) and found it useful talking with peers to breakdown a lesson plan. This is super helpful to work on my own lesson plans and use the ABCs with aim to fully engage students. This is especially helpful with new electives which I haven’t taught before and wanting to make sure it’s impactful and interesting.”
