Overview of Dialogue Night
Dialogue Night is an evening program for parents / caregivers, students, and faculty members to participate in an open discussion about issues related to well-being, engagement, and belonging. The evening includes a presentation of three skits (usually enacted by 11th graders), which are then discussed in small groups in order to tease out various areas of stress students are experiencing at school and home. Dialogue Night creates a space for students and parents to talk about homework, sleep, course load, college, and the everyday balancing act of being a student.
The following information is provided to support a school administrator, counselor, teacher leader, or group of students interested in hosting a Dialogue Night at their school. Please read through the following guidelines to plan for the presentation.
