how we support healthy school communities
“Challenge Success definitely has been a game changer for us. I think mostly because it’s really opened the door to allow our staff and our students, and the parent community, to start working together and start identifying what our needs are that are specific to our school…The students feel like they are part of the community and that they are listened to. That’s really been a big shift for us and I think it’s really lifted up the spirits of our school community overall.“
“I can honestly say that our involvement with Challenge Success exceeded our expectations. Meeting, dialoging and connecting with like-schools, the student survey and working with our coach has been the extra support we needed to begin the process of creating a healthier climate for our students, teachers, and parents.”
“Challenge Success brought community and common ground to the teachers, the parents, and the administration. Another student and I helped run a fishbowl through our work with Challenge Success, and it brought so many useful ideas from students including stressful things that were hurting the student body and the school. I think this program is an outlet to give the students a voice and to help them progress and become less stressed.”
This is the second year in a row we have had a 100% graduation rate at [our high school] while implementing the changes in policy and culture that stemmed from our Challenge Success work. Thank you for providing our team the resources and support we needed to focus on the emotional health of our students while still upholding high academic expectations for all. It is possible to meet our students where they are emotionally and find academic success simultaneously!
FUNDING FOR STUDENT WELL-BEING, ENGAGEMENT, AND BELONGING
Many schools have accessed state, local, and community funding for youth mental health, professional development, or community engagement to support this work. In addition, Challenge Success strives to offer need-based financial assistance in an effort to support schools and organizations with limited resources. We believe that cost should not be a deterrent to accessing quality programs. To apply, please complete this form. All requests will be reviewed by our Executive Director.
